Immigration Then and Now

Please respond to the following question about the Jazz Era in 1920's America. Once you complete your response be sure to comment on two other responses from fellow classmates.

During the 1920's many Americans saw immigrants as a threat to the American way of life. The country responded by creating a quota system to control the numbers of immigrants entering the country each year. Identify the groups of immigrants that were viewed as a threat and the laws that were passed to limit the numbers of these groups entering the country. Then compare the attitudes of Americans toward immigrants in the 1920's to attitudes toward immigrants today.
